Apple Releases iTunes 11 After a Months Delay

Apple has finally released it iTunes 11 after a month’s delay, their latest version of the music software. It’s a complete makeover of Apples media hub. The delay was covered by the company spokesman stating that the extra time was consumed to make the final product right. That claim will be justified after the users have given their verdict, which won’t be hard to follow with millions of iTunes users.

The software was available as a free update to current iTunes users on Mac and Windows and later on it was available as a download from the Mac iTunes site. The redesigned software has a visual experience that has been achieved by taking in a cue or two from the Apple iOS software and the new product emphasizes on large album covers that can be expanded to show your songs at lightning speed, which is a major change from the previous flip through covers. Other features include ‘UP NEXT’ song features, a redesigned mini player that allows you to search for songs, titles and albums without having to go to the full view. iCloud integration is even better with the interface visually improved.

Apple’s iTunes look great but seem as if it is still trying to achieve too much. The new interface is good and the mini player has the right set of keys to get the job done but the app still eats up your system resources and Windows OS still lacks behind as compared to Mac.

Apple says that the revamped version is easier and smarter to use as people had started suggesting that the earlier version has become distended. However Apple’s iTunes is a worldwide hit since its release and has a database of 26 million songs and the company boasts that there have been 20 billion purchases during the last 9 years.
